New York based streetwear brand, Private Policy, unveiled their Fall/Winter 2017 collection during New York Fashion Week Men’s and the collection is quite interesting. I find myself really obsessing over brands that incorporate urban aesthetics into their collections. To me, this makes a statement that not only should fashion be for a certain group of people but it should vary so that it has the potential of inspiring different people at different ages, in different social classes. The urban aesthetics that were much appreciated by me were the baggy trousers, the puffy jackets, and the subtle creative details such as a wallet chain, velcro strap belting and pants that appear to be slipping off. The color palette gave the collection an even more urban feel with earthtone colors such as olive green, mustard yellow, dark grey and brown. Have a look at the collection below, I have captioned the images with some of my favorite pieces.
